Peter B. Mathis aka Peter The Human Boy is a self entitled slow rocker with an audible preference for dreamy slacker guitars, nostalgic lyrics, vintage synthesizers, and DIY spirit. The self-produced debut album Goodbye Summer came out in autumn 2019. The dreamy mixtape made of surf rock and bedroom pop and quickly caught the attention of indie labels like The Nice Guys, gaining over 200k views on YouTube. Indie artists like Mac Demarco, Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) and Natalie Mering (Weyes Blood) have obviously left their mark on the multi-instrumentalist. On his second album Stranger's Life (May 2022) Peter opens up the door to his mind a little further in search of identity in an ever changing world. This is accompanied by shimmering synths, Motown like drum grooves and psychedelic guitar parts.
So far PTHB has toured all over Austria and Germany, played festivals like Poolbar, Superbloom and Waves and gained over 2 million streams online. On stage Peter is accompanied by his bandmates Erika Schweighofer, Laura Keiblinger, Patrick Stieger and Jannik Rieß. The experimental quintet never takes themselves too seriously and sneaks anything from Bob Dylan to Britney Spears into their live set.
