///Stadt Stück///ein Stück Stadt für die Kunst///

///StadtStück///a piece of the city for art///

Theater for the whole city

In times in which the public space of the cultural scene has inevitably become a lot smaller, alternative solutions for performance practices of all kinds have to be rethought. The theater format “tRAUMspiel” of the Kulturinitiative Raumschiff, curated by Daniel Bierdümpfl, wants to seize the public space that is freely accessible for the majority of the population and recapture the city center as a stage. The “STADTStück” project aims to playfully and interactively lead audience groups through the city in several theater pieces developed with local artists and turn the alleys and buildings into an interactive and Corona-safe stage. For this purpose, a performer as the main character, a secondary character or narrator leads small groups one after the other through the city. The performances take place in spring, summer and autumn on three to five dates each. On each date, up to 4 audience groups of 10 people each are guided through the city. The number and type of audience allows for a much more personal emotional exchange between all those involved. The STADTStück is due to the constant uncertainty regarding what is happening in and around the city / the play, a performative theater which constantly demands improvisation. In this way, inner-city life becomes an integral part of every play and creates new spaces between the planned and the unplanned.

Beginning: 8pm at RAUMSCHIFF (please be in time)
